CLASSIC CAR CLUB MANHATTAN
Founded in London in 1995 and changing the way New Yorkers experience cars since 2005, Classic Car Club has evolved into one of the most innovative and exciting private members club. The newly opened Clubhouse features a Hudson River terrace, restaurant, bar, lounge and the only racing simulator room in North America. Exciting events are thrown in the showroom from Scotch tastings, comedy night and boxing all amongst the supreme fleet from vintage roadsters to brand new supercars.
Events Coordinator
To oversee and manage events in Classic Car Club. The Events Coordinator is the point of
contact during all events and is responsible for providing the guest with a positive experience
through exceptional service standards, organizational skills, strong salesmanship skills and a
positive attitude oriented toward teamwork. This position is also a leader and a professional on
the floor, guiding not only the guest but also the team as a whole to ensure success at every
turn.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to
Service
Oversee and present for all aspects during events (load-in, service, load-out)
Source event vendors and negotiate contracts and fees for services
Interact with the on-site contact and assist with any requests in a professional and
courteous manner
Direct and train event staff
Organize return of any rentals
Maintain well-organized event and financial records, take deposits
Support managers on restaurant operations, policies, and procedures
Manage, train and guide host team for events
Interact and develop a relationship with each client from the point of introduction
Maintain correspondence with the client throughout event preparation and execution to
ensure clients needs are met and/or exceeded
Create organized and detailed BEO’s to be passed along to other departments to ensure
smooth execution the day of the event
Work directly with Chef, Beverage Manager, and Manager to secure event needs for
execution
Participate in weekly event production meetings (event staffing, needs, and service)
Admin/Assistant
Assist Events Director and Events team with writing event-specific paperwork
Manage phone calls, follow-ups, and inquiries
Retrieve appropriate documents from the Events Director and client to create and maintain
file for each event
Establish and maintain department filing system to ensure efficiency and organization
(upcoming events, events in progress, completed events, beverage logs, etc.)
Maintain existing department resources (menus & descriptions, wine & beer lists,
vendor resources etc.)
Maintain event materials and collateral (Press kits, events brochures, etc.)
Qualification Requirements
2+ years of events assisting/captain/coordinator experience
3+ years of serving experience
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers,
team members, vendors and guests in a professional manner.
Ability to apply creative solutions to practical problems and situations where limited
standardization exists.
Ability to remain flexible in determining a variety of problem-solving approaches.
The ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company
philosophy, policies and applicable laws.
Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, late shifts, weekends and holidays
when necessary.
