Nicoletta Italian Kitchen and Brew'd Seeking Manager


Description
The Altamarea Group, a NYC based restaurant group, opened its newest venture in DC in the Mt. Vernon Triangle neighborhood, Nicoletta Italian Kitchen and Brew'd. We are selectively looking for individuals who have an entrepreneurial spirit and who thrive in an environment that demands excellence in every dimension. Inspired by the cuisine of acclaimed chef, Michael White, this restaurant offers Italian cuisine worldwide: prosciutto, mortadella, parmigiano, alongside with other signature dishes including meatballs, handmade pastas, and house-made gelato. Nicoletta Italian Kitchen will be under the leadership of Executive Chef, Bill Dorrler, and Area Manager, Kim Hunter.

We are looking for a Manager with either solid prior experience in restaurant management and bar management or willingness to step up to that position. The candidate needs to be highly motivated and effective at working in a fast-paced team environment and have a proven successful track record.

Responsibilities include:
- Lead management team through directives and goals
- Monitor and track business results and forecast respectively
- Communicate effectively across all facets and departments
- Demonstrate an emphasis on driving business while improving quality and guest retention
- Responsible for maintaining and taking bar inventories
- Order all liquor, wine, and beer for the property
- Communicate critical information to the beverage staff regarding each event.
- Manage bar operations


Requirements:
- Strong background in fine dining and knowledge of service standards
- Strong knowledge of wine and spirits with food pairing
- Candidates should be highly organized, efficient, and be able to work precisely
- Ability to multitask and plan ahead
- Ability to train and encourage the restaurant staff
- Train staff on liquor control policies and procedures
- Beverage/Food handler's card may be required according to local and/or state requirements
- Candidates should demonstrate creativity and a commitment to the brand success
- Must have flexible schedule and open availability to meet business needs
- ABRA License and DC Food Handler’s certificate a plus
