CAVA is a fast-growing culinary brand with a portfolio of fast casual restaurants and a packaged goods line dedicated to fresh, Mediterranean inspired, better-for-you cuisine. Born from a full-service restaurant collaboration between three first-generation Greek American childhood friends in the Washington, D.C. area, our chef-driven fast casual format has currently more than 80 restaurants with the Cava brand and over 250 with the Zoes Kitchen brand.

We are looking for a dedicated, driven, and organized HR Compliance Coordinator to join our growing People + Culture and Legal teams. You will have the opportunity to maintain, create, and foster administrative and support functions of several HR processes and compliance initiatives, helping launch the next phase of team growth for our company.

You’ll work hands on with:
• HR Compliance
• HR Legal
• Unemployment Support Services
• Risk Management
• HRIS & HR Reporting
• Employee Records and HR Administration

You will:
• Help maintain federal, state, and internal employment practices such as I-9s, E-Verify, legislation updates and handbooks.
• Lead various HR compliance practices through cross-functional projects with HR field and operations services teams
• Assist in the EEO-1 annual filing companywide
• Manage employee changes, HR records and administration through UltiPro and other human resources information systems
• Manage unemployment process, claims response, attend hearings and maintain records
• Work hand-in-hand with risk specialist on workers compensation claims, safety reporting, and return to work program
• Assist in HRIS integration and serve as a support partner companywide
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned, including supporting both the HR and Legal functions of the entire People + Culture team

You have:
• At least 2 to 4 years of experience in human resources (in an entry level position, or combined HR internship experiences)
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or related field with top academic credentials from reputable university-
• Highly organized nature with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of confidentiality and integrity
• Experience with I-9s and E-Verify compliance is a plus
• Spanish language skills strongly desired
