Young's Beer Expert / Cellar Person

This ad-hoc, field-based role is a new position within Young's for an experienced Cellar Person.   We're looking for someone with a passion for looking after real ales and an interest in the history and heritage of Young's to visit our pubs and engage with our teams.  You'll be coaching teams on cask ale and providing tips on looking after beer from delivery to glass.  You will also be advising teams on best practice with regards to looking after their cellars.  

This role is perfect for an ex-brewer or ex-publican who has an unquenchable thirst for the perfect pour.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll be going to pubs on an ad-hoc basis to train the teams in all things Real Ale, Young's History and Cellar Care including but not limited to:

• The history of Young's - from the beginnings of the Ram Brewery, the history of our beers and the importance of that heritage in our pubs today.
• Cask ale care - from delivery to stillage to glass.  Looking after your beer and top tips.
• Advice and coaching on how to manage and care for your cellar
• The perfect pour of Young's Original - Sight, Temperature, Glassware etc.

What We're Looking For: 

• An infectious passion for real ale and a keen eye for detail to inspire our teams.
• Relevant experience in the brewing or conditioning and selling of real ale.
• Someone who is reliable and approachable, who can communicate well and present with confidence.
• ABCQ in Cellar Management preferred.
• You will be willing to travel to our pubs in London, the South and beyond.
